Matt Eby is the husband of Sharyn Alfonsi. His full name is Matthew Eby. Sharyn is a journalist and correspondent for 60 Minutes, CBS News.
He originally belonged to New York, New York, United States. His nationality is American.
He completed his high school at Mr. Carmel High School. He enrolled in the United States Naval Academy for a Bachelor of Science in 1991 and graduated in 1995.
He got his Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 2002.
He is fond of skiing and running on the trails of Austin and enjoys cheering from the sidelines of youth sporting events on his weekends.
His career
Before starting his professional career in the investment industry, he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for five years.
He served on the USS Sirocco and the USS Abraham Lincoln and was also deployed to South America, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East.
He started his career by working as an associate for Morgan Stanley in 2002. In 2003, he joined the Private Family Investment Office as a Chief Investment Officer and worked there until 2010.
In 2010, he co-founded Tengram Capital Partners and is the managing partner to date.
Matt is responsible for originating, underwriting, and monitoring the investments and also co-managing the daily activities of Tengram Capital Partners.
He had also been the chairman of NEST Fragrances and DevaCurl, Tengram’s former portfolio companies.
He then started working for Taiwind Acquisition Corp. as a co-founder and co-CEO in August of 2020 and worked there until January 2023.
In August 2020, he became the managing partner of Seawall Capital, LLC which lies in Austin, Texas, where he is responsible for overseeing all the investment activities and operations.

Has been married for more than two decades
Matt Eby has been happily married to his wife, Sharyn Alfonsi, for more than two decades. It is said that Matt met Sharyn in the 1990s through a mutual friend.
They were both studying at the university at the time. Sharyn was a student at the University of Mississippi while Matt was a student at the United States Naval Academy.
They dated for some time and exchanged wedding vows around the mid-to-late 1990s.
Children
Matt and Sharyn are parents to their two adorable children. They first welcomed their first child, a boy, in November 2009 and named him Wyatt Eby.
Matt announced Wyatt’s arrival in this world through a social media post on November 28, 2009.
He posted pictures of his son blowing the birthday candles and eating his first birthday cake on November 24, 2010.
They welcomed their second child, a daughter, in January 2012 and named her Flynn Elizabeth Eby.
Matt also announced her arrival through a social media post on January 15, 2012, and wrote they were so excited and blessed to welcome their baby girl, Flynn.
Matt often posts pictures of his children on his social media. His profile picture on Facebook and Instagram is of his wife and children.
The family of four goes skiing almost every year in Montana. Sharyn posts some glimpses of their moments on her Instagram.

Sharyn also posted a video of her and Matt drinking beers and wrote that her 9-year-old son shot the video, and she is not proud.
She posted a video where Wyatt was seen skiing like a pro and wrote that her son’s favorite run is called Don’t Tell Momma and she is in trouble.
On May 22, 2024, Sharyn posted pictures of Wyatt’s eighth-grade graduation and wrote,
8th-grade graduation and perhaps the only family photo in a decade where one of us isn’t in sports gear. So proud of my boy.
He is currently living with his wife and two children in Austin, Texas, United States.
