Dana Lee Burgio – Who Is Scott Hall Ex-Wife?

Dana Lee Burgio is famous as the ex-spouse of late professional wrestler and Hall of Fame inductee, Scott Hall.

Lee Burgio is an entrepreneur.

She first met Hall at the Orlando bar

Lee Burgio first met Hall at the Orlando bar in the late 1980s, where they both worked. Later, they separated and didn’t reconnect until after nearly a decade at a different nightclub in the Orlando region.

At the time, Lee Burgio had been married and divorced and already a mother of twin boys who were five years old.

Lee Burgio and Hall started to live together before walking down the aisle on the 24th of February, 1990, in Winter Park, Florida.

The reason behind their divorce

The early years were smooth, but as Hall got into the world of professional wrestling, their marriage started to fall apart, with Hall going with his first alter ego, The Diamond Stud, and then Razor Ramon.

Lee Burgio in an interview with Post and Courier in 2016 said their relationship were largely based on the strong connection and it went smoothly as they travelled together to Germany and Caribbean together during a course of two-year stay there but with the rise of fame, Hall grew more erratic and their marriage and family began to fall apart.

Hall’s addiction was the last straw. They got divorced in May 1998. However, the former couple decided to give their relationship a second chance. They married again in March the following year.

However, they re-filed for an annulment of their marriage nearly two years later, eventually divorcing in October.

Cody was a member of the United States Air Force and was assigned to the 460th Security Forces Squadron at Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado to fulfill military obligations before his departure to follow in his father’s footsteps.

Her ex-husband’s career was at the expense of his marriage and his relationship with his kids

Hall had a stunning career, but it was at the expense of his marriage and his relationship with his kids.

In his professional career, he was a two-time WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, a one-time WCW World Television Champion, and a seven-time WCW World Tag Team Champion.

In an interview with the Windsor Star in 2013, Hall admitted to doing a lot of things he’s not proud of and a lot of things he couldn’t even remember doing.

He also explained how his addiction to drugs and alcohol was the reason for numerous concussions suffered in the ring and memory loss.

For years, Lee Burgio barred him from contact with his children.

“I have cut off his contact with me and the kids, and ignore his calls, texts, and messages to me, which are 99 percent negative and nasty when he is drunk. At this point, he can have no contact with us unless I know his intentions. Actions speak louder than words”, Lee Burgio said in an interview.

Hall said Lee Burgio blamed the wrestling career behind their marriage failure and the fact that he was a poor father for so many years.

“I am a rotten father, I know that. I hope I can make up all those lost years. I am a lot more focused as a human being now”, he said.

Hall later reconciled with his kids.

Her son Cody’s professional career came to an end because of injury

Cody began training with his father in 2010. Two years later, in July, he made his debut in Belleview Pro Wrestling.

He then worked for New Japan Pro-Wrestling and DDT Pro-Wrestling Promotion. But before he could excel, his career came to an end.

Kevin Nash, whom he considers his uncle due to his father’s close bond with him, gave an update on Cody, explaining why he is not wrestling. In his Kliq podcast, he revealed that Cody got hurt in Japan

He broke his neck with The Young Bucks. “One of the Young Bucks off the fu**ing balcony and broke his neck. So that’s why Cody’s not wrestling”, he said.

The cause of Hall’s death

Hall sadly passed away on the 14th of March, 2022, at the age of 63, after complications from a hip injury.

He was on life support at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga, after suffering from three heart attacks.

He had undergone hip replacement surgery the previous week but suffered a serious complication when a blood clot got loose.
